Vince Vaughn Visits Donald Trump at the White House — Meet the Real-Life “White House Crashers”

Two decades after Wedding Crashers, Vince Vaughn is back in D.C.—but this time, the crash was invited.

On Friday, the White House dropped a surprising photo on social media showing actor Vince Vaughn alongside President Donald J. Trump in the Oval Office. The caption was simple: “President Donald J. Trump & Vince Vaughn in the Oval Office.” But the image was anything but ordinary—it was stylized like a movie poster, complete with the tongue-in-cheek title: White House Crashers.”

The visit wasn’t publicly scheduled or mentioned in the president’s daily agenda, adding to the intrigue. According to The Hill, the meeting appeared to be an informal pop-in rather than an official engagement.

While the unexpected encounter sparked chatter online, this isn’t the first time Vaughn and Trump have crossed paths. Back in January 2020, the Swingers star was spotted chatting and shaking hands with the former president during a college football game—a moment that triggered mixed reactions on social media.

Vaughn later addressed the incident, telling the Los Angeles Times:

“In my career, I’ve met a lot of politicians who I’ve always been cordial to… I don’t have a party that I support and endorse. For me, it’s sometimes difficult to find a candidate who feels philosophically consistent.”

A self-described libertarian, Vaughn has long kept his political affiliations low-key, emphasizing civility over partisanship.

Of course, fans instantly connected the dots to his legendary 2005 comedy Wedding Crashers, where Vaughn played a fast-talking D.C. divorce attorney who gatecrashes weddings with his partner-in-crime (played by Owen Wilson). The film was a box office smash, grossing $288 million worldwide and cementing Vaughn’s status as a comedy icon.

Off the political stage, Vaughn continues to expand his film career. His latest project, Nonnas, hits Netflix on May 9. In the heartfelt comedy, Vaughn plays a grieving son who opens an Italian restaurant staffed entirely by grandmothers—yes, really. The film co-stars Lorraine Bracco, Susan Sarandon, and Talia Shire.

So whether he’s charming wedding guests or casually crashing the White House, Vaughn clearly hasn’t lost his flair for making an entrance.
