Love is in the (country) air this spring! Actress Elizabeth Hurley and country music star Billy Ray Cyrus just made their surprising new romance Instagram official—and fans are doing a double take.
On Easter Sunday, the duo posted a sweet photo together on their joint Instagram accounts, simply captioned: “Happy Easter .” The cozy snap shows Cyrus, rocking playful lime green bunny ears, giving Hurley a kiss on the cheek as they lean against a rustic wooden fence in a sun-soaked field. Hurley beams in a cowboy hat, looking every bit the glam country queen.

The relationship reveal has taken fans (and celebrities) by surprise, as the two hadn’t been publicly linked romantically—until now. However, eagle-eyed followers noticed a possible hint earlier this month, when Hurley shared a sultry video from the Maldives set to Cyrus’s 1993 hit “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore.“
While reps for the couple have yet to comment, one person who gave a big thumbs-up was Hurley’s son Damian Hurley, who dropped a celebratory emoji and red heart in the comments. Other reactions were more stunned—actress Melissa Gilbert simply wrote, “Wait…what?”

The pairing comes after big changes in both stars’ personal lives. Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from singer Firerose in June 2024, just seven months after they tied the knot. He previously separated from longtime wife Tish Cyrus, mom to Miley and Noah Cyrus, in 2022 after nearly three decades of marriage.
Hurley, meanwhile, has had a few high-profile romances of her own. She was married to Indian businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2010 and was later engaged to Australian cricketer Shane Warne before they split in 2013. And of course, fans still remember her 13-year relationship with Hugh Grant, which ended in 2000—but not without fond memories. As Hurley once joked, “I love him, but he’s very annoying.”
For now, though, all eyes are on this new celeb couple no one saw coming. From Notting Hill to Nashville, it looks like Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus are proving that opposites really do attract.
